Guelph Community Boating Club- Guelph Lake Circumnavigation Regatta:
While the poor weekend weather forecast deterred some from attending, the 10 competitors at the Guelph Lake Circumnavigation Regatta had a great time. Eight races were completed in good winds and a few showers on Sunday. The event was won by Chris Koper from Mississauga sailing a Hobie Cat 17. In second place, also sailing a Hobie 17, and also from Mississauga was Clive Warwick. Third place went to George Anger and crew Rick Bateson, from Stratford, sailing a Mystere 5.5.
Prizes for the event were provided by several Guelph firms - ITT Fluid Products, Wellington Motors and Sleeman Breweries.
