The Bob Mackenzie Memorial Regatta was held in memory of a leading motivator
of the original Fleet 183 while it was up in Orillia, Ontario. He died of
ALS, and all proceeds of this regatta went to the Ontario ALS foundation.
It hasn't been held for the last couple of years because of declining
participation and travel time to get to a one day event. (also lack of
volunteers to organize it.)
