Dear Multihull Sailor,
The 10th Shore 64 will be the "traditional race". The
Registration Party will start at the Erie Yacht Club at 20:00 on September
3, followed by a skipper's meeting at 21:00. The first start will be at 08:00 on
Saturday, September 4, in Presque Isle Bay at Erie Yacht Club (EYC), Erie,
PA. If the wind is accommodating the finish on day one will be at "R2" in
Dunkirk, NY (48.13 statute miles). There will be a "free lunch" pitstop,
possible finish (& party) on day one at The Barcelona Harbor House Beach,
which is 2/3 of the first leg. Sunday, September 5, the start will be at
the day one finish (subject to change by the race committee). The finish will be
at Castaways Bar in Angola, NY (16.35 statute miles from Dunkirk, if as
planned).
EYC has a dining room & bar. We are welcome on
Friday, September 3 & Saturday, September 4. There are no hidden charges for
camping, launch, showers, and an all you can eat pizza, beer & pop party
Friday night (sponsored by Erie Energy). Saturday night will be a planned
group pay your own way dinner. Sunday, Castaways Bar will host an all you
can eat genuine "Buffalo Wings" and Awards party.
As always, I offer prizes to those sailors that are lucky
enough to catch the best conditions and use the right strategy to break the
previously established records.
