I have a Bachelor of Technology in Applied Computer Science from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute in Toronto

I used to work for University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine. Started in the Division of Medical Computing as a programmer (some very interesting real-time data acquisition programs) and then moved into Systems Administration work with VAX780's and Unix boxes. My last department was with Preventive Medicine & Biostatistics

I'm now in Massachusetts, getting settled into a new life and starting to look for a job near Canton or in downtown Boston.

Sailing

In my spare time, I sail. I sailed out of Etobicoke Yacht Club which is in the western part of Toronto. I grew up sailing dinghies in cottage country on a Sea Snark, Albacores and finally my own Force 5, then discovered the fun and speed of catamarans on Lake Ontario and had to have my own. Since 1992 I've been sailing a Hobie 17 called CatsPaws (on my 2nd CatsPaws now). While I prefer catamarans now, I'll sail on anything and have even tried ice boating (that is fast!) I tow my boat around to regattas all over the continent and now the world. For 2.5 years, I was the Dry Sail Director at Etobicoke Yacht Club.
I'm now doing some sailing in New England and learning more about tides and currents.
